Church of God missionaries are heroes! Stories are told of how one had to sleep in a 55-gallon drum during a civil war to avoid being killed by stray bullets. Another spent time in a Nazi prison. One traveled for months at a time from one country to another, identifying independent churches that wished to have a denominational covering. Another died of malaria after only a year on the field. A missionary couple spent 51 years in active service, divided between four continents. More than one buried a child in foreign soil.
Until All Have Heard attempts to capture the essence of the spread of the Church of God to 180 countries and territories around the globe, tracing the dedicated labors of hundreds of the 5,200 missionaries and national leaders appointed by the World Missions Board. Their faithful obedience to the Great Commission has resulted in 6 million members of the Church outside North America
Much remains to be done before the Church’s missionary task is complete. Let this chronicle of the Church’s advance inspire every reader to seek his or her place in Great Commission obedience… until all have heard.
